Fabric Laser Cutting

Precision made possible—where standard tools fall short.

Our 10-foot-wide laser cutter at Quaker Chroma offers advanced capabilities in fabric display production that traditional cutting methods can’t match. The laser cuts with micron-level accuracy, producing clean, sealed edges that prevent fraying.

This technology excels at intricate contours, complex cut-outs, and precise perforations—ideal for rollouts requiring tight tolerances and exacting specifications. The laser’s heat seals synthetic fabrics as it cuts, resulting in durable edges perfectly suited for tensioned systems and long-term use.

Sample Project:

We recently produced a large-scale fabric backdrop designed to mimic the shimmer of sequins. By laser-cutting thousands of precise circles across the surface, we created a layered, dynamic visual effect that interacts with light and shadow—an effect impossible with traditional cutting or trimming techniques.

This level of precision and versatility is rare in the industry, and we’re proud to offer it to clients seeking next-level customization.

Features & Benefits of Laser Cutting for Fabric Display Graphics

Clean, Sealed Edges

Laser cutting melts and seals fabric as it cuts, eliminating fraying—no hemming or additional finishing needed.

Frameless or SEG-Ready

Silicone edge graphics (SEG) are cut with precision for a perfect fit—no bunching, gaps, or misalignment in your display frames.

No Contact, No Distortion

Our non-contact cutting method preserves fabric tension, print quality, and color accuracy by eliminating mechanical stress.

Ideal for High-Impact Displays

Deliver a clean, premium look for trade shows, retail spaces, lightboxes, and other attention-grabbing environments.

our experience

What are silicone edge graphics (SEG)?

Silicone Edge Graphics are printed high resolution fabric graphics printed using dye-sublimation. A thin silicone edge strip is sewn around the perimeter, this silicon edge strip is then inserted into the frame creating a tight fit on the frame. These graphics are measured to exactly fit an aluminum frame fabricated to your specifications.

These displays can be:

  • Freestanding
  • Wall-Mounted
  • Hung from the Ceiling
